Sean Hanrahan is a strategic marketer and interaction designer directing cultural media initiatives, digital ad campaigns and experiences for world-class brands, artists and agencies. Creative and technically skilled, Sean’s digital expertise is matched by a deep cultural curiosity and connectedness to the consumer.

Sean studied Journalism and Marketing at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and later secured an internship with The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in Los Angeles. In 2010, Sean became The Huntington’s Digital Media Developer, a new position working with artists, botanists and scholars to capture and showcase research and the collections onsite and online. In 2010, Sean initiated a unique partnership with Apple, committing The Huntington to a 5 year plan to digitize its collections and disseminate digital media through Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes U).

Sean drives collaborative innovation across diverse teams, organizations and partners. He has worked with small and large advertising and marketing agencies to serve technology and consumer products to live-event goers, most notably representing Samsung Mobile US, Apple, RedBull and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

In 2016, Sean co-founded Cleverkick, a media company managing R&D, licensing, sales and production for client projects and properties including publishing initiatives for children’s author Laura Numeroff (“If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” franchise). Sean soon formed a charitable brand partnership with Canine Companions for Independence around Numeroff’s newly released “Raising a Hero” book to support the not-for-profit’s mission of providing skilled assistance dogs to children, adults and veterans with disabilities.
